THE CENTER

 

The Digital Arts and Culinary Academy (DACA), a.k.a. the Rainbow Teen Center is a state of the art Oakland Parks, Recreation, and Youth Development facility designed to give teens an opportunity to learn and grow, while having a good time with instructors and fellows members.

 

OPERATION HOURS

Monday - Friday 11:00pm to 5:00pm

Saturdays & Sundays (When there is a scheduled event or appointment.)

THE STAFF

Claytoven has worked on hundreds of projects throughout his 30-year career. Constantly in demand as one of the top session vocalists, his voice can be found on albums featuring GRAMMY winning artists such as Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Kenny G, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, as well as, on popular video games like Karaoke Revolution Presents: American Idol Encore (Versions 1 & 2). He has also written for and produced artists such as Patti Austin, Young Jeezy, and Charlie Wilson.

 

Currently, Claytoven is also teaching part-time at San Francisco State University for the Music Recording Industry Department. From the fruits of those labors he has penned the book, The Professional Studio Vocalist.

 


 

Scott Marsh PhotoScott Marsh

Digital Audio, Culinary, & Guitar Instructor

Scott Marsh is a Le Cordon Bleu graduate with over seven years experience in professional kitchens. He is trained in all classical French cooking techniques and enjoys baking as well.

 

When he is not cooking, Scott is also a self-taught musician who specializes in the composition of electronic and pop music through digital audio workstations such as Reason and Sonar. He has been writing and playing music for over 10 years and was involved in making YouTube Music videos with the band David Unger Music. David Unger Music's YouTube channel has gained over 2 million views, along with recognition from celebrity music artists such as Nicki Minaj, Kesha, Katy Perry, B.O.B., and La Roux.

Eric Flood is currently a student at Laney College, studying film production. During his studies at the Fremont Media Academy in Oakland, he gained four years of video experience and education. Eric has since gained another year of experience during his involvement with many other independent video projects. Though he wants to gain more skills while teaching at DACA, sharing learned skills to help others to grow is his main goal.

 


 

Saul Perez PhotoSaul Perez

Saul Perez is a former college student at SAE Expression College in Emeryville majoring in Audio Production. Throughout his career, he attended DACA as a student and learned all about recording and engineering. He has released his very own music that has been heard on Social Media websites such as Youtube, Instagram, and SoundCloud. He has also worked with local artists and is working on building his own craft by releasing YouTube tutorials on how to create beats. Currently, Saul is working on a debut project to be soon released. Striving to work with others and teach them the knowledge that he has learned throughout his career has been one of his highest goals.
